The Venetian Plaster art form can be traced back to Ancient Rome. The craft has seen a revival recently, becoming a key interest of architects and interior designers who use the finish to provide a unique look and feel to both homes and commercial spaces. Traditional Venetian Plaster, otherwise known as Italian Plaster or Polished Plaster, is made of lime putty and marble dust which enables artisans the ability to create highly polished finishes to both walls and ceilings.
Venetian Plaster is made with less harmful chemicals, which makes it hypoallergenic, as well as mould and algae resistant. It is also known to regulate humidity in any space.
